2003Agreement with the V. Stefanyk Library

2004 saw a breakthrough in cooperation with Ukrainian partners. The Ossolineum and the Stefanyk Library signed an agreement to make their collections available to each other - the Polonica in Lwów (Lviv) and the Ukrainica in Wroclaw - and to allow each other to copy and process them. Thus, in 2004, we began the process of digitising the former Ossolineum collections in Lwów (Lviv), and the Ukrainian partners began the digitisation work in Wroclaw (where most of the archives of the Shevchenko Scientific Society are located). Cooperation has also begun on the conservation of and access to works of art that were part of the Ossolineum collections before the war.
