1823Establishment of the Lubomirski Museum

In 1823 Count Józef Maksymilian Ossoliński signed an agreement with Prince Henryk Lubomirski. The purpose of the agreement was to establish the Lubomirski Museum in the Ossolineum. Lubomirski was to donate his collection to the Ossolineum. The condition for the opening of the museum was the establishment of the Entail of Przeworsk, i.e. the establishment of an indivisible part of the Lubomirski estate, and its approval by the authorities. Part of the income from the Entail was to be used to maintain the Ossolineum.
